I have been making my car payments on line for 4 years. Becuz I filed bankruptcy now I cannot, but I recd no communication to that effect after filing on 10/20/10.

The debt was re-affirmed through the bankruptcy attorney, I have never been late, and now I can't make a payment? Plus, I did not even get a payment notice this month. Tried calling Toyota - guess what - they get a vacation from 12/23/10 until 01/03/2011!!!!

So what is the consumer suppose to do? Won't be buying a Toyota again, as the dealership service stinks too.

I did file for bankruptcy and had two cars 1 from Toyota Financial and the other from Honda Financial, after filing and before discharge both stopped sending us bills or statements. However after discharge, Honda did resume sending us statements and it kept the online service switched on all the time through the process and now it is showing on our credit report that account is in good standing and payment is on time. However, Toyota switched off the online service before the discharge and after, and the account status on my credit report is account closed in bankruptcy despite that I have re affirmed the loan and still making payment on time.

It sucks that when you file bankruptcy, it is against the law for your billers to bill you. It is considered a demand for the money and a company can get into a lot of trouble for sending one.

I too have had issues with them not taking payments, picking up calls, and processing checks late. Some of these fools like "responsible consumer" don't understand that Toyta Financial is just a POS company to deal with. It doesn't matter if you pay on time or not, they waste your time with their BS payment processing and communication systems.

I had the same issue with GMAC/Ally. We filed chapter 13 and paid our lease payment outside of plan.

Eventually Ally did send us monthly bills. They reported the vehicle as a repo on our credit report. It was a leased that we turned in when need to and Ally claims its a repo.

Tried working w/ our atty and trustee to no avail. Apparently a repo looks pretty bad on a credit report even though all our payments were ontime.

yOU NEED TO PHYSICALLY MAIL IN YOUR PAYMENT TO TOYOTA. When you file a bankruptcy toyota no longers have to send you a bill or payment sheet.

YOu have to get a physical paper statement to you and mail it out in certified funds.

This is a common practice when a Bankruptcy is filed, no creditor is resposible to bill you for your payment once you ask the courts to work a plan out. I am assuming you filed a chapter 7 bk?
